7 Creative DIY Ideas Using your Delivery Pallets

Many of your deliveries will be arriving on pallets at the moment due to Covid-19 meaning we’ve had to amend our delivery method for the time being. We know for many of you this may be an inconvenience, so we’ve pulled together our favourite DIY Ideas using pallets, in the hope they inspire you to get crafty with your pallet delivery!

Make a garden planter

This idea can be as full of colour and happiness as you like, for you and the children to enjoy. For the first one, paint the pallets any colours you like and fix an array of plant pots carefully to the side. It will make a lovely feature for the garden for years to come! For the second option, simply fix 4 pallets together to make a mega planter! We like this tutorial from Hello Creative Family: https://hellocreativefamily.com/how-to-make-a-diy-upcycled-rainbow-pallet-flower-garden-planter/

Make a mud kitchen

We know that being stuck indoors is far from ideal right now, and as the weather gets brighter we’ll all be desperate for ways to keep the kids happy in the garden. This really simple DIY mud kitchen will enable the kids to create mess in the safety of your garden, as well as enhance their learning with lots of sensory play and make believe opportunities. We like this tutorial but there are lots to be found on Pinterest.

Create a herb garden

We go through phases of being really into herb gardens – sometimes based around how engaged the kids are. However we love this simple idea for presenting herbs in an easy to access way! You don’t even need to treat the pallet (though some of the finishes people on Pinterest have given them look lovely!)

Make rustic shelves

Distressed pallet wood makes for lovely rustic home furnishings, and this shelf idea is no different. Simply cut a pallet in three, then sand and finish the wood to your desired design.

Create pallet furniture for the garden

This one is perhaps the easiest of all, as you don’t even need to paint or varnish the pallets. The simplest way to turn pallets into furniture is simply to put a cushion on top of them – then stack them as you like. Some people prefer to make individual stools, while others go for a full L shapes sofa style. There are lots of wonderful colours to paint them too, or you could sand and varnish them, to keep them looking natural.

Turn pallets into art

With a bit of creativity, a pallet can become a beautiful piece of indoor or outdoor art, and a special one too if you get your kids to help. We love this rainbow heart created out of pallets, we think it will look very at home in the garden on a sunny day.
We’d love to see what you decide to create! Be sure to tag us on Facebook or Instagram if you decide to get creative with yout pallet delivery.
